Nice dark brownish Lamborghini near B&Q in Eaton Socon High st this morning.
I always cover my ears with trucks, vans and loud cars as I have sensitive hearing. It's a shame the bearded driver of this car deemed it necessary to stop his car when he saw me do this, look me squarely in eyes and call me a W**ker and then speed off. The former activity I'm sure he's all too familiar with himself anyway.
Not something you really want to encounter when minding your own business on a Sunday morning walk :-\
Tw*tish and unnecessary behaviour agreed, but sensitive hearing with an SLK55AMG you must never use the throttle LOLI always cover my ears with trucks, vans and loud cars as I have sensitive hearing. Yes - not acceptable behavior at all. It's been reported to the relevant authority just as a matter of principle. Not sure if you've been in one, but the SLK 55 has a very low frequency exhaust in standard form, even when revved, so it suits me fine. I've used my right foot where and when appropriate, but not driving past pedestrians, and I certainly wouldn't stop the car and call them a W**** if they wanted to protect their hearing. That's the right of the individual :-).

Interesting. Really rather rude of him. I always cover my ears with trucks, vans and loud cars as I have sensitive hearing. Never associated the SLK55AMG with being quiet but so long as you get to enjoy it that is all that matters.Edited by Mr M on Sunday 31st July 18:29
Ah. I didn't say it was quiet, I said it has a lower frequency sound. Which is does. Don't forget that now they are older (the R171), people are putting louder exhausts on them. Mine is standard. Anyway, I guess we should move on :-).

Thanks Tony,
The Silverstone event is the sponsored by Aero racing an off shoot of Morgan and its mainly traditional cars. Sadly you don't see too many aeros racing now. When they were competing in the GT3 series and they had a couple of wins they started getting banned as it was upsetting the Italian manufacturers

The Sally B, B-17 Flying Fortress was on her way to Bruntingthorpe. To be honest I could've had such better photos as she was so low over my gardens and house, then started to ascend. I was just too in awe to grab my phone and think of taking a picture until it was almost too late. She flew low over my parents on her return and they got to see her too. Just beautiful and a perfect day. Gassing Station | Herts, Beds, Bucks & Cambs | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
