I seem to remember that were all supposed to be taken off the road and destroyed because they were dangerous?
This could of course just be my feeble brain imagining things.

Wiki says this on them: "On 31 March 2003, all Invacars owned by the government were recalled and scrapped because of safety concerns.".

A6 southbound towards Bedford yesterday evening (Tuesday 22nd September) - a silver Vauxhall Monaro reg AL54*** with a very sporty exhaust. I followed it along the road with my window down so I could hear the glorious noise coming from it. He was driving quite sedately but still putting on a good show for everyone.

It made my day - thank you.

Big procession of interesting-sounding vehicles passing through Milton Keynes a few minutes ago. Obviously a run of some kind.

Something different. Out on the boat and have just seen the 5596 Bahamas Steam Train on its way to York with the Diesel engine at the back.
