I was working for GKN in the late sixties, and they built a special Lotus 47 with a Rover 4.5 litre V8 at GKN Transmissions in the Midlands. GKN47D was the registration and it was a regular visitor to my workplace on the Thames at Chiswick in Corney Road. I loved that car and tried to follow where it went. The last I heard from GKN HQ was that it had been taken across the Atlantic and it has since disappeared from trace.

Jet Provost T5.5 just flew over my house. Not something I’ve seen for a long while I’m sure.
Went straight over my place as well - nice sound Gretchen said:

Good friend of mine completely rebuilt that Charger just over 10 years ago. Had a full restoration including a complete coilover conversion, absolutely brilliant to drive. Was imported some time in the early 80s, originally a yellow 383. Tom carried out the restoration and finished it in Audi Misano Red with a 440, I had heard the next owner had painted it black. Here it is parked next to his brothers 1963 F100 which Tom also built; His replacement for the Charger was a '31 Model A, still a work in progress
