Ideally, a nice pub with a garden where you can see the cars would be best. I'd hate to think of us having a nice evening, only to come out and find the cars have been tampered with.

about time, I don't think I've even seen it yet
Do you remember seeing a vaguely dark red/dust coloured TVR being driven by a couple of priests at Indianapolis/Arnage in June 06? Me and the lodger..

Have a look at the boozer in Woughton on the Green, too. Nice big car park although there are a couple of humps to be traversed.

I was at the Swan on Saturday - expensive, but nice food.

Garden was shut last time i was there (about 3 weeks ago) they were digging it up. Also the parking spaces arent very wide there either. Might be worth a look though. I fancy a bit of a blast this evening so might go in search of somewhere. Try and jog a few braincells.

Hmmmm, Black Horse(proud perch) down at Gifford Park? or maybe Ship-A-shore on Willen (opposite the Chrysler Daimler place)

Sounds like a fun evening hehe Used to go to The Swan, Black Horse and Barge a lot when I lived in MK. Lovely pubs.

OK I'm back!!

The Cross Keys in Woolstone looks the best. There's a garden with a car park and you can see the cars from the pub.

I got talking to a very nice local who said The Cross Keys is a better pub than The Barge, but I think Tuesdays is quiz night. I'll give them a ring, find out and report back.

In the name of research I may need to do another recce of the area one evening (with a proper map 'n all), just to make sure, so if anyone wants to join me...

Did ya!??

And what would your expert opinion be? It's recently been taken over according to the nice man (Paul) I was speaking to.

Oh my god this is getting to close for comfort!

I used to drink a lot in the Cross Keys. I presume you were speaking to 'Chelsea' Paul as he spends his life there.

Diane when did you work there?

I've no idea. He was walking along the road and I asked for directions to The Barge (coz I knew it was around there somewhere, but hadn't driven far enough up the road!). We got talking about the car.

He was a fair haired fella, late 30s/early 40s, nice looking, it was his birthday!

Bloody hell. It was Chelsea Paul!

I don't really go to the Keys that much anymore, the Barge is far superior.

Can get a bit rowdy down the Cross Keys IMHO but i have not been there since the past landlady left...

So when is this happening then? I'm up for it

What about the pub by Milton Keynes Marina on the canal. You can sit out there and admire the motors (and the boats if they take your fancy)
