The town centre is not that great really, so for a good drink and a chat i think we are better off meeting just outside and taking it from there. I've never beenb to The stag before, so how about we meet for say 7pm to 7.30 and then see where the evening takes us?

g

PS - where exactly is The Stag? Is it on Heath Road? I have seen it loads of times but cannot quite place it

Yep it's on the Heath Road where the road forks. Not much parking there though it has to be said (Saying that we'll be both walking up).

7:30 sounds good for us (I think).

Is it quite far out from the town centre. If it is, we could perhaps meet at that pub on the roundabout - the Black (or White) Horse

Stag would be GREAT for me - seeing as it's only a five minute walk from my house !!! lol - and I've never actually been there either...

So which is it to be then ?? Stag or Black Horse ??

Lets go with the Stag... we can dump the car round the corner at a friends if the worst comes to the worst.

The walk down to the town isn't too far either.

The Stag it is then. And Phil, this is a drinking session, not a car and a pint of coke meet, so leave the motor at home - you won't be needing it smile

Amy's mate who lives just down the road from The Stag may be joining us so we'll leave the motor there! Haven't had a proper session in a while so I may be asleep after 2 pints! Should be a laugh though!

Have you ever been in the Horse? Used to be my drinking hole when Dave was the landlord, but I really wouldn't recommend it for a nice atmosphere wink

The Wheatsheaf is a bit further down on the left near the Stag, and that is a lot nicer, but is a bit of a rocker/biker pub. Great atmosphere for any football games if that is your thing.

The Crown(?) is opposite it and isn't too bad. It used to be another of Dave's pubs, so could be a little bit rough.

Bear in mind all my experience in LB pubs is at least 5 years old now, so it could all be different these days.

I know what Phil and his good lady look like, but i don't think i have met you before Mark. So, to avoid each of us standing like lemons at opposite ends of the bar drinking a pint and fiddling with our mobiles while watching the door, what do you look like? I'll be the smallish chap wearing jeans, trainers and a black t shirt.

I'll probably wear my denim jacket so you can recognise me - you may still have say "oi over 'ere " - I'm hopeless at recognising people LOL
