Harold to Pod road is getting very worn now, if they have not resurfaced it, I would not recommend it, shame though as its a lovely road
Bedford to Sandy past Chicksands is a lovely route too, as is Maulden/Clophill/Ampthill road, my personal faves are over Oakley, rural Kempston, Bromham, Pavenham, Carlton etc, thats because I know them very well and feel confident round that way, done the journey often enough
I don't know the route to Clophill, but from there it's not far to Baldock, then the Baldock to Buntingford road is really good, followed by Buntingford to Newport (I think Jamie Oliver's parent's have a pub there) near the M11. Then NW to Royston and some little roads to Sandy and a few cups of tea?Bedford to Sandy past Chicksands is a lovely route too, as is Maulden/Clophill/Ampthill road, my personal faves are over Oakley, rural Kempston, Bromham, Pavenham, Carlton etc, thats because I know them very well and feel confident round that way, done the journey often enough
Though I guess that's pretty far East for most people.
Also live Turvey/Pevenham way, but we don't go out there much.

The Elise needs a new set of rubber so if it's wet, we will be in the Scooby (therefore heavy and Japanese too (but slightly faster than the Elise ))
If it's wet I'm out of options, the tyres are shot on both the track car and the 350!To be fair the SW20 sees of most Exiges on track, it's the pesky supercharged ones that annoy! It's not got a very compliant road chassis due to the modifications so I imagine a well driven elise will peg me on a bumpy b road.

Any other sunday and I would have come (if nothing else so I finally put a face to the Bedford name!), but we're heading off to Norfolk on the Monday and sod's law says I'd bend the Porker if I came out to play.
Then take the MG to Norfolk Edited by jon- on Thursday 6th September 13:34
