I'll pop along with my son, but I won't be there until 8:00pm.

Is the car park reasonably safe or is it best to bring the daily smoker?

Howard
The pub is fairly out of the way and the car park quite generous, I won't be worried about leaving my car in there. Some nice quiet wide straight roads from the A1 with roundabouts that invite sideways action so it might be worth bringing the fun toy smile

Just incase we're not there first (Mel is coming now, quite probably) the name is 'PistonHeads' there'll be a table setup for us.

See you soon!

Should have put that on the first post too biggrin

Either Elise 111R SportsRacer (red with white stripe) or Scooby estate in blue.

I'm hoping to park next to Dell's Lambo as I am smitten with them at the moment smile

Probably a GT3RS (996) - white with red side stripes and wheels. If I park next to Dave we will look like negatives of each other.

I've literally listened to that thing cross the entire of Hitchin, I've never cared much for the car but the engine note is so special.

Are people eating there tonight or is it a drinking affair?

Jonny.

I believe a chat and drink, nothing about food has been mentioned (and I just put my dinner on!)

We'll be eating there as I've just got in from work and we'll be heading out in about 10 mins.

Nice to meet everyone, I had a really good time.

Have to do another one soon, preferably a) in the day time so we can see what we're looking at and b) in the middle of no where, so the Monaro and Gallardo can sing until their content smile

I did 3 more laps of that roundabout after you turned off, just testing my new rear tyres you understand officer hehe

Will phone you at some point to talk tyres if that's ok.

Yep, was good to meet everyone. The noise the Lambo and Monaro made where awesome! If only it was during the day so as not to wake the neighbours!

Great to meet everybody, we had a really good time.
We did leave without paying though yikes so had to apologise lots when we got home and paid over the phone.

If the next is to be in daylight, it would will have to be a weekend - maybe with a mini-hoon too. I think the Chequers would make a good start location as it's pretty easy for us all to get to and I have a cracking little route idea using that as a launch platform too smile

I won't start another thread now, as I did this one and don't want to hog them all smile

If you've a route in mind I think you should start another thread - this one went ok after all smile

Interesting to meet some more PHers, away from my more usual Yorkshire base.

Enjoyed the chats and tyre-kicking, shame I didn't get to talk to more people.

Some lovely cars there though... smile

Hmmm ok then... problem with hoon-related threads is they are genearlly more subscribed to and more involved to organise - this just involved saying a time and place smile
