Hi all,

Off to Cambridge with the good lady on Friday shopping and have decided to treat her to a decent meal aswell.

Where do you recommend in Cambridge for some good food? I am hoping this sunshine will stay here for the week so outside with a good view is an option. Any type of food bar Chinese will be fine so please all fire away...

Thanks in advance.

Dan.

There're a few, but not many in the centre that are anything better than average: some paces near the river, but all generic and much of a muchness.

La Raza is good - near Cellini and Molton Brown, I think the street is called Rose Crescent. it's just a door way and you can eat downstairs or outside. Good service, good food, reasonable wine list.

Depending on what you're after there's 22 Chesterton Road. Very small but excellent food and service.
Or...Midsummer House - expensive
Or...For a more relaxed atmoshpere Browns can be good.

Oh that must have been where I was born then, many many many years ago, my mum always said I was so troublesome they had to knock down the hospital.

Browns is indeed part of the old Hospital.....its the former morgue, or at least part of it is.

Its still there too. Bit hit and miss - used to be great then went progressively down hill.
