Air-con installation - Bedford

Does anyone know or have any recommendations for well priced, reliable air-con fitters? We need some quotes (obviously to lead to install) to supply & fir air con to my other halfs hair salon in Bedford.
1 we've tried turned up, offered us the most expensive system he could devise (designer wall vents - fully hidden system etc), another gave the impression of being a total cowboy and totally contradicted advice we'd already had and the final one gave us a quote but now is impossible to contact.
So much for the start of a recession - you'd have thought people would have been falling over themselves for new business...
