Great evening - you get such a brilliant mix of cars. One minute strolling past a white Gallardo Superlegga and a series of Ferraris, then a Ford Model T, an Alvis Drophead, E-Types, TR4s etc etc.
Enjoyed a meal outside pizza express, watching all the drunkards from the Carpenters Arms jeering at the Ferrari owners, again.
The cars look great parked on the common but the best bit is always late on when they begin to leave - cue lots of noise and wheelspin.

Top evening. Managed to secure a parking space in the end so brought the Tiv out and I'm glad I did. Beautiful weather (way better than last year if anyone remembers that) and masses more people as a result. Really fun and happy atmosphere. The Silver Cup must have taken 6 months of sales in one night.
Highlights were the Ferrari 250, the Silk Cut Jag rep, The Alitalia Stratos and any of the 'proper' Bentleys.
Ed - I think the Gallardo belongs to Shoebag going by the reg plate. Another great car in a very enviable collection.
edit to add - good to see you got the racecar there in one piece Gregor.

Cheers Doug - I got stuck in traffic from the Rugby Club to the Common and ended up weeing out loads of water and temperature was off the gauge but got there in the end!!Edited by dougc on Thursday 31st July 10:23
Great show, definitely better weather than the last two years and more cars too, great event. I did see a couple of cars pulled over by the Police and a few burnouts so hopefully no adverse criticism as it was such a small minority compared to all the cars there, plus there were a load of "Max Power" type cars around too.
Anyone see that piece of st Hyundai Accent with hydraulic suspension 'cruising' up and down outside the pub? Every time it stopped, the hydraulics put the sideskirts on the ground and the wheels lifted into the arches.
Driver thought he was the bks until he realised that everyone was laughing at him.

Great evening!
Fabulous cars, glorious weather, agreeable company!
Always amazes me it seems to be so low-key on the PH spectrum..........
Agreed, I don't know why it's so low, maybe it's the "Classic" bit.Fabulous cars, glorious weather, agreeable company!

I know self-indulgent but as I didn't take it (one of the guys from work who went, seperately from me I hasten to add, took it) I think I can post it!!
Yeah i had a brilliant night at the Common again. 4th year in a row i've been with my Chevette and this was by far the best so far. Did anyone get a photo or video of me spinning up outside the Silver Cup as i left? That fella in the Hyundai sadly i know. It's that first time i've seen that thing and hopefully the last.
