Beds/NorthBucks/East Herts Meet.

Well Chaps,
I'm new to the area, home is called Ampthill and It'd be great to met some of you chaps in the area. So I propose a meet up somewhere around sat 9th August (open to changes from those in possession of other halves) at a local pub. Any suggestions or peeps who'd like to come? And for what it's worth first confirmed attendee is me in a Jap import DC2.............

Ampthill was mooted as a possible place for our last meet. If you can find a decent pub with a good car park then that would definitely help.

I think a lot of people are on holiday at the moment - may be better in September... then again it can be quite hard to sort out a meet any time

Nothing wrong with a little get together, but as Dave say's, may be better to wait till September as lots are out and about during August.

I stumbled across a pub in Flitiwck with a decent sized carpark which seems a pleasant enough place. Do people have a preferred weekend in September or even a week night?

I work just outside Ampthill, we often go to the chequers at lunch. it's only about a mile out of ampthill on the road to bedford, fairly big car park, very big garden with nice country side views.....except the fenet that seperates the garden from the main road!!

nice place to be on a nice summers evening.

Live just round the corner from there in Houghton Conquest. Depending on the date I will be there.

yep, lets set a date? 24 aug sunday 11am? how about the dog and badger in maulden? only 20 spaces in the car park but pub is ok and food is really good

Can I suggest we avoid the Bank Holiday Weekend - much more likely that people will be away or otherwise engaged.
How about we make the most of the light evenings and make it a weekday event, in my experience people are more likely to be free......
