Sorry this is a double post, but it may get more attention in here than the Frog section:

Jumped in the car this morning and started the engine to find that it sounds like a tractor (On the plus side it sounds fantastic on over-run "Pop, burble, burble, bang, pop" hehe)

Crawled underneath to find that it's farting away from the joint between the backbox and the pipe coming from the cat.

It looks like the bracket holding the backbox to the pipe from the cat has corroded and it's leaking through there, so my first thought is to change that and see if it helps, I assume it is just a U-shaped clamp that just holds it together?

Otherwise does anyone know where the best (read cheapest) place is to get a new standard back box from in Stevenage, I can probably fit it, how hard can it be....

bd car, I seem to spend more time replacing parts on it than I do driving it at the moment. frown

Fitting is easy enough - I had a 106 for years and had to replace the exhaust. Just try a local parts supplier you shouldn't pay more than 30-40 notes for one

Just picked one up from Euro Car Parts for £17 + VAT.

Can't go far wrong really, now to fit the bd thing, I hope it's not rusted into the middle pipe too badly.

Any idea what size the bolts are on the clamp?
