I lived in Harpenden in my early 20's, 1st block of flats on Milton Road train station end..... had a great time living there, can't ever remember using the cooker, spent a fortune, barred from 3 pubs for some high jinx...... then realised is was a v small town hehe

neadless to say I've grown up a little and now approaching 40.

Still have a few close freinds living there, they are school teachers and appear to know nearly everyone in Harpenden....... infact I know live in Knebworth ( a large village) and it is a very similar mentality.

Harpenden's nice.

I live in Hemel Hempstead myself, but work in Harpenden (at the Renault dealership on Coldharbour Lane). The school kids are all very well spoken and polite and I believe that kids, are the best way to gauge an area.

Plus, a lot of them are ginger.

Ginger = Elite.
