A friend of mine is looking at options for his stag party, clay pigeon shooting has been suggested. Just wondered if anyone has had experience and recommendations of any locations localish to Milton Keynes.

Thanks in advance

Sporting targets are one of the most professional outfits around, based at Riseley Bedfordshire and only about 5mins away from Bedford Autodrome if you wanted to make a whole weekends worth of activities.
Used to shoot there quite a bit, it’s a good place for a stag do, more like a golf club than a farmers field if you get my drift!
If you do go, ask for Fletch as your instructor as he was by far the best bloke up there.

Drop me a PM - there's a few of us in this board that shoot locally so we could sort him - so long as a bit of travelling is ok, or point him in the right sort of direction otherwise.

Are they any good for novices individuals? I haven't shot a clay for over 15 years now but would love to try getting back into it.

I've only ever been shooting once, and that was at shooting targets with my bro-in-law, and had a great time. The guy we went round with was very good and patient. It obviously helped that I was a brilliant natural talent wink

Not had a chance to catch up with Mr Smith yet (and will be a couple of week's before I do), but he'd be your best bet.
