That's not what I said. I said Mellish Court and Stephenson House were ROUGH. I stand by that statement.

West Bletchley (Whaddon Way et al) is not bad, but having now been out of the area for over 10 years, I wouldn't want to move back there unless I didn't have much choice, in which case I can easily think of worse places to live.

As for the area directly around Stephenson House and Central Bletchley, I wouldn't live there. Full stop. There are areas outside of that immediate location that I WOULD live in, but again, only if I didn't have other options.

I've been living in a small village for the last nine years, and it's a very different way of life from the places I've lived in Milton Keynes (or London and Hemel Hempstead where I have also lived). I have also had off PH conversations with brisk and we have discussed the type of houses/areas he's already looked at.

I'm sorry if my comments offend you.

Apologies, it seemed as if you were referring to the areas. Stephenson House was an office block but was changed into flats/shops in the last few years. Not really a rough area.
I just think its easy to dismiss areas you can afford not to live anymore (myself included), as rough.

Again, apologies for any confusion but it would be a shame for someone not to move to Newton Longville because of Mellish Court which is nowhere near NL really.

Brisk, how's the house hunting going?

I drove through Tingewick and Finmere (just past Buckingham). They look very nice, but I don't know what they're like for commuting
