PHers,

The south west forum is organising two large PH gatherings in aid of the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, a service some of us may one day need. They should be good days out to meet fellow enthusiasts in the beautiful grounds of two historic Dorset homes.

Cars on the list so far include a Lamborghini Miura SV, Ferrari F40, Jaguar XJ220, Mosler MT900S, Bowler Wildcat, Ascari Ecosse, Lagonda Le Mans race car, Bugatti Type 35, Aston Martin N400, Ariel Atom, two Audi R8s and many many more.

Both will feature a charity raffle with great prizes (currently worth over £2,000) such as powerboat cruises, a day with a Top Fuel drag racing team and Nintendo DS Lites.

After the raffle we will be going for an enjoyable, spirited drive through the Dorset countryside.

Come and have a good chat about cars, win a prize and then put your foot down with Lamborghinis and TVRs - all whilst raising money for the charity!

To Attend
All are welcome but PLEASE go to the thread below and tell us which dates you are hoping to attend, so that we can keep track of numbers and ensure everyone knows what cool cars will be arriving!

Please do not just turn up on the day as you will be charged full admission - you need to download and print the admission pass that is available on the promotional website (link above).

Thanks thumbup

Update

The event on Sunday at Sherborne Castle was attended by about 120 cars and raised almost £700 for the Air Ambulance. It costs £3500 per day to keep the ambulance flying, so this money is very sorely needed.

Thread with lots of pictures

After the main meeting we visited the Air Ambulance base to meet the crew. Whilst there we conducted a sound test to see who was noisiest - 1st was Macey in his TVR Tuscan (115db), who won the bottle of wine and Noisy Bugger trophy; 2nd was Foundy's Ferrari (113db) and joint 3rd was Duesey's vintage Lagonda and Chimtvr's Corvette (112db).

We also took pictures of our cars around the helicopter and the crew were kind enough to answer some of our questions, e.g.

Due to advancing time, the countryside drive suffered by a number of us made the trip down to the coast:

Hope you can make it!
