Oh dear, it looks like we are in for some fun with roadworks then frown I thought they were just going to be doing overnight works until Christmas but this would indicate something a whole lot worse - does anyone know what is going on?

Thanks for reminding me to look into it before driving home this week.

Oh lummy!! Thanks for that link. In fairness, after living in Eaton Socon for 10 years it will really help the noise the A1 produces and that bit of road has always been full of joints. I will just have to give any weekend or evening N-S trips a second thought as I now live a little further up the A1, I better not finish late at work!

Its the ones right along Monarch Rd and on the Bushmead estate that will suffer the most i think, luckily i live a little distance away from the A1 and haven't heard nothing yet thus far...

Folk's,

I see that SPECS have been put up just after(northbound)the Black cat round-a-bout on the A1. Althow not in operation yet, there is a 50 mph limit.

not normally go that far north, but thanks for the heads up, was going to go that way recently and the traffic site had the stretch as being severly congested, so went across country smile

Just for info, if you are going towards the M1 from the A1 at the Black cat, note that from the end of the dual carriageway there is a 40 MPH limit all the way to the M1 and SPECS along the whole road.

Yes it's extremely frustrating as there doesn't appear to be anything happening for much of that length.
