Hi,
Recently moved to Houghton Regis and need to find a local(ish) garage to take the girlfriends 306D-turbo for a service and some other work. Would prefer a french specialist, but happy to visit a regular garage if there are some decent recommendations.

Thanks,
Graeme

There is a decent Peugeot/Citroen specialist garage in Bletchley, about 20 min drive.

Try Chiltern Tyres and Exhausts in Dunstable. 01582 609600

They sorted my pug GTI 180 out a few times when I had it and will give you no hassle.

when I had my 205 Turbo I used Autocraft in Houghton Regis. They are turbo technics approved. Seemed OK. This was some time ago now (2001)

Good bloke, not seen him in years, though I know he still looks after my brothers cars.

Thanks for the advice folks.
In the end we have booked it in at Autocraft. They seemed to know what they are talking about, and prices looked reasonable as well. Booked in next week, so will update when work done.

Steve at Redline Tuning looks after my French toy, he's a real enthusiast, does a great job and charges reasonable rates.

He's a French Specialist, based in Stoke Mandeville - a bit of a hike maybe, but I thinks he's worth travelling from Hemel Hempstead for...

Took car to Autocraft, and i'm disappointed to note that the price quoted for work required was astronomical, and i've since removed it from their care.
They weren't even interested in why i was doing this, and obviously thought they had seen me coming - properly annoyed at this. Wouldn't go back, and wouldn't recommend them - in fact i'd probably recommend people steer clear after this experience.

However, car currently at C.G cars in Leicester, who will be doing the same work
for over £500 less.

That's good to know, I tend to do my own work on the Rallye but it's still good to know a decent garage when it all gets too much biggrin

I haven't spotted your car around Hemel I don't think, i'll keep an eye out though.

It does not come out to play very often, but it was at Silverstone on Saturday!

There were a couple of nice Rallyes out on track too - a standard looking white job, and a full house modded blue number - proper quick it was!

If you do use Steve, mention my name/car...

Cheers dude i'll do that! I'll keep an eye out for the 309 too. If you see a blue caged Rallye motoring between Kings Langley and Gadebridge it's most likely me. smile

It was in Gadebridge at the new car wash on Sunday having Saturday's track grime & brake dust removed!
