In Ireland I read they had the "two" marine one helicopters, one being a decoy, the same with "two" cadillac ones, so thats why I thought they might run the the two 747s. I realise that Ireland and UK dont probably count as dangerous a fly zone as say Iraq but still strange they stop the duplication effort with the main Jet.
Also what about this Vison Air Boeing 767-222 call sign N767VA flying right behind airforce one. Who are Vision Air, whats their alleged connection to the government if any and does this passenger plane carry just personel or has it other more serious functions.
IIRC Vision Air is owned by the CIA, and sometimes takes people to be beaten in secret prisons all over the world. Also what about this Vison Air Boeing 767-222 call sign N767VA flying right behind airforce one. I believe an Arab has a 747 decked out just for his horse transportation problems in life.
I know a chap who works as one of the flying horse movers.
Apparently it is quite a sight.
I know of one that flies around the world with racehorses. I looked it up one day and found it was owned by a well-known racing stable from that part of the world. It used to be a B747-200 but has been replaced by a B747-400F. I guess with the money in horse racing, it is not really extravagant. Probably no different really to flying F1 cars around the world.I know a chap who works as one of the flying horse movers.

On his last visit he landed at Stanstead and flew into Winchester House (the US Ambassadors residence) in Regents Park....we live close enough that you could hear/see the helicopters.....they definitely had at least one other decoy helicopter then. The motorcade is out of control.....I would guess it's something like 20 vehicles with a lot of US 4x4's and UK registered Range Rovers....a couple of the Secret Service cars have the boot and windows open...with the guys inside looking very trigger happy! I did have a chuckle at the motorcade when the car got beached on the exit ramp coming out of the embassy. All the SS chaps getting out and looking very twitchy. I especially liked the way they directed the minibus to park up across the front of them to shield everything from view whilst they sorted it out.

In the other thread on that subject there is a picture of one of those two bars you see that come out the back of recovery trucks being pushed under the front end. I'd guess it was one usually used for shifting trucks. and then there was a pic of "The Beast" on the back of an articulated low loader. Guess some overtime was done in a garage somewhere!Paddy_N_Murphy said:

I know that the Sultan of Oman, Qaboos bin Sa'id, he has two Custom 747's kept in a hangar at Muscat International Airport. I know a chap who works as one of the flying horse movers.

Boeing said they could do a one off.
So he said he would have two.
Another similar tale of a 747 owner had his missus out buying gear in Milan.
Whilst loving the Jimmy Choo's or similar they didn't have her precise size in stock.
They had them in London.
So she went in the 747 to get them.
could all be bks though.
We also used to get VIP C-130's in with Ferraris and Lambos in the back, flown in just for a service.

28000 and 29000 are the tail numbers for the 2 747's (VC-25) the President uses, wigth regard to the pilots every when a new president is inaugurated they get a new fight crew that will stay till the presidents term in office ends.
Had the pleasure of seeing SAM 28000 doing touch and go's with Obama's new Captain at Greensboro NC back in 2008, it's call sign was US1 for the day.
With regards to private 747's, the Qatar Amiri has a 747SP based in Bournmouth.

Well, what an exciting morning, yes I know, I really need to get out more.
I was working approx 400 yds from end of runway at Stansted this morning so was looking forward to seeing Air force 1.
On approaching the airport approx 9am there were already 3 police choppers airbourne so guessed something was up.Plus no other aircraft movements at all.
Short while later the 2 obama chopers went over, with 2 chinooks in hot pursuit, pretty awesome sight and sound.
They landed out of view and then approx 10 mins later a white/blue 757 took off, followed by a plain, bar small stars/stripes on tail 737, CIA i guess.
Then the choppers took off again and headed north to I presume Mildenhall, then nothing for 10 mins then the normal easyjet/Ryanair started up again.
We all presumed Obama was on the 757, decided not to bring the 747, when all of a sudden a "Air force one" 747 took off, sweet jesus what a beautiful aircraft, stunning.
Then during remainder of morning another white/blue 757, plus loads of plain looking N reg private jets and 737s.
Cant believe how many people involved in the movement of just one man, simply bonkers.
But great to witness none the less, sorry, boring story I know, but made my day.
