A slow day at times but the final pass of the day made it all worthwhile, that pilot sure knew how to fly!

Very nice. The Alpha Jet looks very sporty in that colour scheme.

Sorry to have to ask a simple question, but is there flying everyday or would I need to check somewhere. Am I right in thinking this is in Wales?
Again sorry for the questions and well done on the photos, am just getting into photography with a 1000d and can't begin to imagine how you managed to get the pilot of a fighter jet so in focus!

Ok, forgive my ignorance, but is the leading edge of the wing moveable on the Typhoon?? In some of the pics the low wing leading edge looks to have been displaced compared to the high wing edge?? (might just be shadowing / angle etc)

Also, what is the QinetiQ plane doing? Is it a flight research airframe?

(PS, terrific pics btw ;-)

Don't apologise, I wouldn't of got into this hobby without asking questions!

They only fly Monday-Friday, but you are not guaranteed to get anything so do prepare to blank!

This website will give you a great idea of where to go, what to expect and also what clothing to take with you http://www.lowflymedia.com/info/mach_loop/mach_loo...

As it has already been said they are the leading edge slats!

The QinetiQ Alpha jet is usually out doing testing or could just be a shakedown.
