Saw this on Saturday afternoon passing Blackbushe.
I know that Blackbushe does not see a huge amount of jets ( that I have seen anyway), but is this based there? The picture below was apparently taken in June, so it's been there at least twice. Is it connected to the F1 team?

Looks like it's a resident. The registered owner isn't Team Lotus so they are probably leasing it.

Here you go.

This is my favourite Team Lotus plane. I remember it paying a vist to Dublin in the 1970s

Thanks Eric, I had a feeling you would respond to that one! Agree about the JPS colours!

I know Mike Gascoigne used to have his own plane - could be connected.

Yes - he used to commute to Cologne in it when he was at Toyota.

I built a Keil-Kraft Phantom in JPS colours in the 70s; black and gold was all the rage (because Lotus were winning everything!)

Blink (who are the owner of the aircraft) are an air taxi firm who are based at Blackbushe. I suspect that they are transport some of the Team Lotus guys around and have decorated the aircraft in their colours for promotional purposes.

Whilst you wont see many jets at Blackbushe you will regularly see the Blink jets there, often 3 of them. Other jets do appear on occasion as well.

Punching the reg into G-info shows that the only change of livery is the Lotus badge on the fin.

I suspect they had to wait for the outcome of the court hearing before they could paint the Team Lotus emblem on it. Did you notice the engine cowlings, one has the union jack, one has the Malayasian flag on it.

Certainly on of the pics on the CAA website was taken at Blackbushe, cant tell with the other one.

I've seen that jet at blackbushe a number of times. Though not regulary enough to say it lives there... More a visitor. Guess landing fees are a lot less than farnbrough!

Blackbushe will be its home airport, although in the ideal world you wont't see it there often as it should be in the air making money! http://www.flyblink.com/ is the website for the operator of the aircraft, they have a few taster flights on sale!
