Unless you're trying to do flying lessons from EGHH, of course... rolleyes

That said, with the Red Arrows down at the weekend, it was quite cool to hear over the radio "Cleared to land after the departing Hawk"... smile

Should be good - down in Dartmouth from tomorrow so got Dawlish Air show on Thursday, Bournemouth at the weekend & Dartmouth Regatta next week.

Will probably head down to Bournemouth on saturday for the day. Early start but why not?

I was there too and it was excellent.

Just a note though for anyone expecting XH558. She has had to cancel attendance because of a fuel leak to one if its tanks. Unfortunately it wont be resolved in time for the weekend.

Damn I was going just for her. Went to Airborne on Sunday and thought I'd see the Vulcan at Bournemouth. Ah well. Guess those sponsoring her appearance have saved some dosh!

I was going to trek from Dartmouth to Bournemouth just to see XH558 as i have never seen her fly. Intended to do Dawlish tomorrow & Bournemouth Saturday.

Gutted that i have again missed the chance of seeing her fly. What a bugger!!!!

In wasn't saying that THIS thread be closed. But we don't need two as the posts get diluted and repeated.

2 years ago South West Trains were doing £10 return anywhere on the weekend, which was cheaper than the fuel for 2 bikes there and back. Plus I could walk around in shorts instead of leathers for the day, and have many beer without worrying about being over the limit (apart from falling asleep on the train, and missing my stop, to end up in Waterloo at 1am!). Just checked their website, they are not doing that deal at the moment.
