Aside from rioting, they are debating this right now. Could be interesting.

Apologies.

They have a public accounts committee with some Admiral and others discussing the various facets regarding funding and the capabilities of various types of carrier design.

So did I.

It appears however, that as one young MP rightly questions the good Admiral.

"Why is that we see time and time again, we design something and half way through the design changes and ends up costing a fortune more"

He's referring to what seems to be talk of installing cat launch capability and other possible design changes.

If that's the one I'm thinking of, the Committee were a bunch of idiots who didn't understand the NAO report, the questions they were asking nor the simple answers they were given.

Doesn't matter, we've got nothing to launch from them anyway.

Errr, by fitting a boiler or two, maybe an exhaust gas boiler; just like on the majority of non-steam powered ships that exist today.

I think by steam power-plant, he was referring to SGs, or lack thereof.

Perhaps we need to take a lesson from the Chinese and part convert it into an 'aircraft carrier' hotel to help cover the costs?

They are not going to be fitting Steam Catapualts but electo-magnetic ones.

So a lack of Steam Powerplants is irrelavant.
