Sitting in the office yesterday afternoon, something very loud and low went over, if it was a fast jet, it seemed to be flying quite slowly, did not get a chance to see it as I was on the phone at the time.. anyone else see it?

Cannot imagine it was connected to Eastbourne Airshow, but could be I guess.

Something quick and prop driven went over too. Didn't see it but it sounded Merlin-like from indoors.

Might have been the Sea Fury and/or the Skyraider.

We had no Spitfires or Hurricanes yesterday.

All Typhoon Displays cancelled this year due to lack of Airframes.

That'll be all RAF Typhoon Displays cancelled.
You may be lucky and get to see the BAE Systems demonstrator, which flew at RIAT - with a full stores load smile

That explains why the Typhoon is not at the Dartmouth Regatta in a couple of weeks. Gutted as last years Typhoon display was awesome.

The practice flight that was done the day before the first display last year was out of this world.

This year we are having to 'make do' with the Red Arrows, the Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight, a Tucano & a couple of helicopter displays.

I have also been told that there is a possibility of a display sometime on saturday by a very special aircraft although confirmation is currently awaited before it is officially annonuced.
