Was very lucky to have an invite to the non-public Odiham Family Day yesterday (thanks to my local scale model club). Here's a selection of some of the aircraft that were there. The great thing about these types of events is that you can get much better access to the various aircraft.

Lucky lucky man Eric

thanks for the great pictures

I've bunged your Chinook in my databank already ta smile

(What green do you think that is? Doesn't look Olive, or NATO Dk Gn could it be the old favourite British Dark Green from the old colour palette?)

I love that Jet Provost too, as I said, lucky man.

I know you said the Sabre was the oldest known flying jet plane but the fact it's got bits hanging off the fuselage is a bit dodgy isn't it? wink

I presume you mean the air brakes. They open when hydraulic pressure bleeds off after the engine shut downs. Once the engine fires up, hydraulic pressure is restored and the doors close up.

The Meteor T-7 is actually airworthy. It was restored over a 17 year period and then flown in primer paint down to Odiham for final painting up. They still need to paint the outer wings, which is why they weren't attached.

Nice shot of the Meteor, this was the one that was at RIAT this year in primer.

Nice pictures, now I know why Sally B flew over my house yesterday.
