Red Arrows Incident
Discussion
Desperately sad... RIP and thoughts to family and friends.
As a matter of interest, my father had a mate killed in the hangar by a drogue bolt from a Hunter seat. Obviously not saying
it's what has happened here, but they're dangerous bits of kit at all times. (lifesavers sometimes as well...)

Heard through an un-confirmed source the aircraft was taxiing. I know it's a "Zero Zero" seat and can save lives stationary on the floor. How much input does the pilot have to
put in to achieve a safe ejection? I remember in the cadets getting shot up a simulator on the back of a lorry. Head back, legs back and pull. Jeez it went! From memory it was 1/3rd of the real
thing's "kick". Do the crew still wear leg straps to pull their legs back automatically? I'm sure the sim I went on had them?
