What is the story about a civilian drone landing on the QE2? Presumably, in the future, there will be ammunition for those posh rapid firing guns......
In harbour it would be pretty easy to land a drone on any warship. When operating it would probably be screwed by the radar and off not it could be jammed relatively easily. You would not shoot it with a phalanx.

I haven't been down to Rotten Row for a while now so have no idea what's currently rusting resting there, but that used to be quite the semi-floating museum of unwanted grey ships. Only seems like yesterday that Intrepid and Fearless were decomposing together in that stretch.
In other HMS QE rumours and news, I was told yesterday evening that there's a possibility it might try to slip into harbour under the cover of darkness (possibly the night before the published times) to reduce the number of witnesses to any potential whoopsie. I do find this hard to believe, but the source of this rumour is usually reliable. However, I'm rather sceptical of such a claim
You could always sign up to be notified of movements by QHM, although they do say that they are E&OE.In other HMS QE rumours and news, I was told yesterday evening that there's a possibility it might try to slip into harbour under the cover of darkness (possibly the night before the published times) to reduce the number of witnesses to any potential whoopsie. Iron Duke is coming in on Monday. Wasn't she shadowing QE last week?

Maybe the Navy is pissed off because a civilian can afford something that can land on the carrier while they can't ?
So true Contractor Sea Trials have so far gone incredibly well and she's had aircraft on deck and in company for weeks. RN are very happy thus far.
Only fktards on the internet bemoan a carrier going on basic engineering trials without an air group. Take a look at USS Gerald R Ford on her initial trials and hazard a guess how many jets she carried - zero.

I highly doubt it as BMC is no longer a going concern and the mini is no longer made
I do realise thatBut has the idea been updated to modern conditions, I wonder?
I seem to recall a mini had to be jettisoned once, about thirty years ago, as it broke free in heavy weather
