What shutter speed do you need to stop the props like that?

That was probably at 360 or higher the shutter, the props freeze.

Some absolutely fantastic shots on this thread - thanks to all for sharing them.

I gather the pair are doing a fly past of Carfest South this weekend. Can't be there but will be in the Whitchurch area nearby. Is there any way I can find their flight direction/paths in case I get a chance to nip out and see them go over?

On Saturday after displaying at carfest south they will head just to the west of micheldever pretty much a direct line to bournemouth.

There was some nice weather today at Southend smile They are leaving tomorrow around 1pm.

It has been busy around the airport for the last couple of days. Quite a lot of people turning out to see them.

Thanks Robin.

I see their scheduled slot is 2pm - hope they're on schedule.

Right, I'm back from the US and I understand they are paying another visit to Old Warden today. If so, anyone know times? I assume some time around 2:30 to tie in with Gransden?

Just seen them fly over Bournemouth, not sure what they're doing here, the air show isn't until next week?

Awesome sight though.

Great photos Lee. Any chance that I could have a copy of those and indeed any others that you have taken of the two lancasters? They would be for my own use of course.

What would happen if the Icelandic volcano emitted the expected ash cloud a few days before the Lancaster was due to fly back?
