Mil jet in the Weston/Brize Norton pattern?
Discussion
I'm working out of the home office today; and there has been something very loud in the circuit holding above Weston/Brize. I've not been able to get a visual fix, but it's definitely a large multi-engine jet. Nothing on FR24 or the usual sites - it's certainly not a C-17, just wondered if there was something interesting passing by.
Anyone on here have any info/insights?

As I mentioned in the OP; I couldn't see it, we also have a very low cloud base here today. Definitely sounded more like a turbojet than a high-bypass though. Since the VC-10's and Tristars have stopped operating, I normally only see/hear the Hercules and Skyvan in this part of the world (with the exception of regular PAX traffic in the cruise).

The VC-10 was powered by Conways, which are turbofans - not turbojets.Gassing Station | Boats, Planes & Trains | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
