A friend recommended a good book written by a test pilot a while ago, but I can't remember which one it was. I want to buy my Dad such a book for Christmas - can anyone recommend a good one? I'm looking at Tony Blackman and Eric Brown at the moment.

Not read any, but having heard Eric Brown on Radio 2 yesterday and then reading his wiki I'm pretty sure his book would be a great read.

Then follow up with Wings of the Weird & Wonderful which his individual tests of aircraft both Boscombe & Farnbrough, then his foray to Germany to fly stuff there.
