The An-124 is over being refuelled in preparation for departure by the looks of things

I wish they would publish the departure time though, can't find it anywhere

Just seen the video of the Hercules, we were a bit confused yesterday as his display was very short (after hearing how amazing the display was).

Any ideas when the AN124 is departing if it's not already departed ?
Had TCAS warnings going off so cut it short.

AN124 just got airborne.

Ask me for times.
Although after 7, 17hour shifts in 9 days I'm enjoying two days off currently. Haha.

What’s the fast jet going orbiting Fleet Pond? And alongside a lumbering old 4piston?
Not sure what the jet was, but assume it's one of the toys from Red Bull's box.

The 4 engine radial monster was their DC-6 I think, and currently the P-38 and possibly a Corsair (I can hear it but not see it) are up too.
I've just been up in that DC6 this morning. Won a raffle at work.
Took off from Cranfield, flew over London and then back via Silverstone.
All I can say is what an awesome experience!! Something I doubt i'll ever do again!!!

Some guys have all the luck.

What an experience.

It's a lovely old bus, isn't it.

Its been meticulously rebuilt and is maintained to the highest standard.
Not bad for a fizzy drinks company. At least DM pumps his money back into worthwhile projects.

The pilots aren't scared of it either, we were pulling some G's in some of the turns. We even buzzed the tower at Cranfield before landing. Negative Ghostrider, the pattern is full!! biggrin

I was shown around a US Navy C-118 back in 1981 - which is the only time I've ever been on a DC-6.

I’ve been twice. It’s a great place to look around.

Red Bull hangars are great, well worth a visit.

Does anyone have timings for tomorrows display. Start time would be handy, thanks.

I had heard rumours of a Beluga flypast but not according to this.

Missing completely from the show was anything to do with the F-35. I didn't even see a plastic replica of one (we've had them in the past). This is despite the fact that the F-35 features prominently in their promotional brochures.

Yes, quite disappointing really especially when they have the logos painted all over the roads with the names of the countries that have bought them. Not much in the way of 'new' tech on display either - yesterday was my first visit in a long while and I doubt I will return.
