They were FRA at Bournemouth when I was at flight school there...used to go off and play war games. Get used for targets by the air force etc
The Dassault Falcon fleet is split between Durham and Bournemouth. They mostly operate in pairs as 'Red Air' opposition for the UK military and NATO allies. The Tees part of the fleet seems to concentrate on training with RAF Typhoons, the Bournemouth part of the fleet tends toward Royal Navy training ("The Thursday War"). As far as I'm aware the L-159 fleet is all based at Teesside International.
The registrations of the Falcons all begin with G-FRA_ because they were operated by FRA (variously Flight Refuelling, Flight Refuelling Aviation, then FR Aviation) before they were bought up by Draken. The L-159 registrations begin with G-DKN_ for Draken Europe.

There are 8 L-159s at Teesside. G-DKNA to H. They make rather a nice noise when they pass overhead.
They are supposed to transit after take-off straight over the sea as they are deemed too loud for over land training. One of a number of aggressor squadrons now training the RAF & USAF57Ford said:
What’s this that appeared outside my window at MAN this morning? Another Kuwait visit for refuelling? It’s just been pushed back and looks like preparing to go out.
Edit: found out
If i'm not mistaken, that's based in Abu Dhabi. Flew out from there on Monday back to MAN & saw around 5 of them parked up.Edit: found out

Euro fighter on escort duty into MAN
Seems this guy was lost:
Correction: Seems they lost comms over the North Sea.
Dumb question really. If a plane loses comms and a Eurofighter (or equivalent) is sent up to escort them, how does the plane know it has to follow the Eurofighter? It's not as though the Eurofighter is fitted with an LED tail light which can be programmed to say 'FOLLOW ME'. Just curious Seems this guy was lost:
