Seen on sky RAF closed heathrow airspace this morning for a asset out of Northolt

Probably one of those ex-mil but now civvy registered Islanders nobody is supposed to know about, spend their lives flying countless orbits at various UK "hotspots"!

The Met has never used Northolt and the Police surveillance Islanders were not Met Police. The one I pictured above was GMP’s and based at MIA before it became part of NPAS

They are all now part of NPAS, in fact four new “spy planes have recently been delivered and are based at Doncaster Airport

There has been no NPAS fixed wing assets for many years. The 4 aircraft at Doncaster have been there for years but have struggled with getting signed off but may well start flying operational sorties this year. It’s very well documented here: http://www.policeaviationnews.com/

I very much doubt the airspace was closed for an islander as they routinely operate in and around UK airspace.

I'm sure I saw it flying over Ayr yesterday morning. The distinctive sound sound caught my attention
