That would be considered going the long way around. Walney Airfield is in Cumbria!

Could it have been a Sikorsky S92? A not dissimilar look from underneath. Could have been a coastguard one or G-LAWX.

We had a spot of this plane on here a few weeks ago, it's based at Doncaster and is quite loud compared with the usual planes that fly around there.

I saw a coast guard S92 flying over the north west the other day that didn't appear on FR, an unusual site for me.

I saw a coast guard S92 flying over the north west the other day that didn't appear on FR, an unusual site for me.

One is based at Caernarfon and quite often patrols up the coast from there up to Blackpool and back. Sometimes does flights into JLA. Last weekend it did this but ended up going further North than usual, up Cumbria way, I didn't track it's finishing destination.

Probably just training, if you look at my screenshot the two aircraft with the warthog id are chobham Falcon 20s.

There are actually six as three more (out of Gran Canaria) are following. Destination looks like East Midlands, Bristol & Manchester.
