Does anyone get an issue with Flightradar where a plane or helicopter goes over but it doesn’t show on flightradar.
This is very common - especially with helicopters as they’re often police/military and usually not shown.
I sometimes have an issue where an aircraft at low altitude, on course to overfly my house, disappears from the screen about 5 miles away - passes over - then reappears a few miles later.

The Royal Helicopter was the first I notice did this with the occasional C-130 and A400M.

I forgot to put this in the thread, but 2 days ago in the afternoon there was a P-51 Mustang buzzing around the Norfolk/Suffolk area, would have been a great spot in person.

Ditto.

I live on a direct track between Lakenheath (and to an extent Marham) and the Wash Weapons Area. We routinely get FJ activity over the top of the house with nothing showing on ADS-B (Marham Tornados always showed up as do the F35s).

Today was the first time an F15 showed up on ADS-B along with a wingman who showed up as an unknown type.
I remember something about certain F15s showing and others not. Are they all the same variant?

It was something like the F15 Es showed up but the C and D didn’t?

Maybe that’s bks, it was a bit ago it came up.

I'm not sure that they routinely Squawk Mode S. I have only ever seen F15s on ADS-B once in 2 or 3 years.

I just sat and watched a Puma fly over SW London at low altitude and land on the helipad of St George's hospital in Tooting.

Why might that be?

Some kind of navaid calibration for RAF Mildenhall I imagine.

ETA: FR24 lists its owner as FAA Flight Inspection Services, it appears to have been doing a number of USAFE locations this month.

Yeah, absolutely looks like calibration.

The circle around Mildenhall will be to test the DME (Distance Measuring Equipment) is accurate. The instrument tells you how far you are from the equipment, so they fly a circle to make sure it's accurate in all directions.

It also looks like they've flow down the centreline of the runway and directly inbound the field a few times. These are likely to be ILS (Instrument Landing System) or VOR (VHF Omnidirectional Range).

This looks like a fun trip.

Out of Dublin, up for a touch and go at Belfast International, over for a touch and go at Edinburgh International, now on its way South towards London.

Seen Belgian A400s doing trips like that to Scottish airports recently.

Mildenhall is Military - it has TACAN (Tactical Air Navigation) and ILS. There is no VOR/DME.

Anyone watching BA261 - now diverting to avoid Belarus having departed after the UK introduced the 'avoid Belarus airspace' instruction.

Destination Islamabad but looks like unscheduled stop for refuelling in Moscow.

what could go wrong.

turned right around now..refused access to Russian airspace?

avoiding Belarus and Donetsk must make flight planning tricky.
