Never seen one of these private charter aircraft here before.
Jet Fly Aviation, callsign Mosquito, they're everywhere now. My least favourite aircraft type the PC-12.

Does anyone else think the FR emergency alerts are going a bit squiffy? I used to get an alert on my phone with the squawk code and when you clicked on the link you could follow the aircraft and it felt real time. Now the alert message says "General Alert" and when you click on the link it feels like you are watching a replay - the plan moves so far then goes back to where it was, the height cycles round etc.

Anyone else seeing this or is it my phone/FR app playing silly buggers?

Not seen on radar but seen through binoculars. About 40 minutes ago an Airbus A400M passed overhead Farnborough. I heard the drone and thought, that sounds interesting.

Anyone know who owned it?
They fly over my house (West Wiltshire) pretty much without fail every single day, often one in the late afternoon/early evening. Very distinctive sound compared to the C17.

Are they not in service fully now? I just assumed they were RAF.

Don't know about FR but this post prompted me to look at ADSB where I saw this one with an emergency and a few others following the circuit.

The flightpath is right over my house smile
Small world.

I've spend the odd evening tracing the flightpath of the planes I can see from the sofa.

This was up around 30,000 feet, so I assumed it was a foreign one overflying the UK. As they are turboprop powered, they sound very different to a normal jet engine - i.e. they have a loud droning sound compared to the roar of a jet.

They remind me in many ways of the Short Belfasts. We use to see, and hear, Belfasts passing overhead Ireland on the way from Lyneham/Brize Norton to North America..

Flights were landing north-south rather than the usual east/west or west/east at Dublin yesterday because of the wind - seemed to be loads of holding both before landing and takeoff.

Not entirely sure what happened here - https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/fi532#f... - all seems normal from Keflavik, then squawks an emergency somewhere around Glenrothes, does a lazy descending circuit towards Edinburgh, but then heads for Stirling and Glasgow (possibly because Icelandair serve Glasgow already) - whatever it was can't have been major as it's back on its way to Munich again.

An Easyjet flight departed from Manchester for Germany yesterday, turned round over Doncaster and returned to Manchester.

Flightradar displayed its flight number in red. Never seen that before, what's the significance?

Probably squawked 7700 for emergency (or one of other general emergency numbers). FR picks up on that and alerts users. ADSB exchange does a similar thing, red and top of the list in global radar view.

Booo!! wink They are ok! have to look after a lot of them, day and night. These ones are the Flying Doctors so they go to all weird and wonderful places.
Occasionally they do get run over by a B717 or a Fokker 100.
Citations now there is one that makes you bite your tongue! Is that a fast-one or a slow one? There are too many different types.

A lot of French activity last night, must have been an exercise. I think there were about 6 tankers up at one point.

At a guess a shuttle service for Airbus from Chester/Broughton to Filton
