Police plane can stay in the air longer, and cover longer distances if needed. I think I read also can be quieter for better surveillance.

Is there something going on in the North Sea off Norfolk? The is an A400, a P-8 and a Rivet-Joint R135 all doing orbits over the same area.

There is an Edinborough to London City E190, in the air at the moment, which has done quite a few circuits of the Hoo Peninsula and North Kent and now seems to be flying North again - definitely doesn't look right.
