TF just flew over my house?
Blue and white colours single rotor helicopter, looked to have some sort of pods on the sides? (possibly armed?)
Sounded very much like a chinook but wasnt.
Was similar in size to A109? Maybe a bit bigger.
Shows on ADSB as just 0000.
Think it went into Barton?
I heard something very similar when I was out walking the dog. That was near Aylesbury but earlier on.Blue and white colours single rotor helicopter, looked to have some sort of pods on the sides? (possibly armed?)

It was the classic sound of a Chinook and it was loud. I said to my wife how can we not see it when it must be very close. Then this other helicopter exactly as you describe went over. Definitely had some sort of side pods.
This has confused my autistic catalogue of aircraft sounds as I was sure it was a Chinook.
It was not like anything I have seen before, and I can identify most type of aircraft commercial and military.
It was low and fast and about 1/2 mile from me so I could not really make it out but I "knew" it was a chinook when I heard it coming only to get a shock when it came into view. Blue on the bottom and white on the top. Big side pods.
For a second I thought it was an apache or possibly a Merlin and was confused but then it was gone. Had the look of an S92 but was smaller. Like A109 size ish, weird.

I thought Apache too. I'm the same. I worked on a military base years back and there was an RAF base close by as well. My office was regularly buzzed by Chinooks and other craft and you knew when it was a Chin.
I live near the Luton and Cranfield flight paths and when working I listen to to planes flying over to workout what they are and then confirm on ADSB Exchange. Wife thinks im odd.
No chance it was one of these? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaman_K-MAX
Would explain the Chinook-esque noise and sort of fits the description.

I didnt get the best look but I would say not. It looked wider than that and definitely had side pods, although there is the possibility that could have been an external load.Would explain the Chinook-esque noise and sort of fits the description.
Thatooks to be single engined and I cant say for certain but I'm sure what I saw was twin from the speed and sound it made.

No sidepods, but this s76 was over Warrington around 14.20 - according to FR24's playback.Blue and white colours single rotor helicopter, looked to have some sort of pods on the sides? (possibly armed?)

Do you have a link to the playback please? I know precisely where I was and what time, as that could be a contender
I can't find a dedicated share option (I'm a non subscribing pleb) but here's the link, it should be just over Northwich. https://www.flightradar24.com/2022-06-19/14:23/12x...

It wasn't a blue thunder or a V22.
Could have been a Puma I guess, but it defo had pylons with some sort of "armament". To my eye it looked a good bit smaller than a Puma but it was in weird colours.
It was very unusual, I have been a "spotter" for the best part of 30 years so can ID stuff very easily and I saw this and first words out of my mouth were "what the f*ck is that". I was upstairs and had to move rooms to keep track on it but by the time I moved to another window it was gone. Even my wife commented what the hell was that.
Whats weirder is it was showing mode C as call sign A000 "reserved for future use". No Squawk. Hex code was B0000. Type was Military.
Its route was pretty much direct from Carnwell area into Buxton then I guess MAN routed them out of their approach and they flew low level through the hills and then made a left turn over north Manchester and into Barton.
Which is also weird, because there are loads of other places they could land Baron is pretty public especially on a Sunday with loads of people there. Unless they landed at the police pad which is a bit more screened.
Who knows!
