Reds are over Yeovilton now doing a display, but not showing on ADSB?
Apparently not the reds, so no idea who they were hehe
Almost certainly the Korean Air Force Aerobatic Team - The Black Eagles - who are working up at Boscombe ahead of some shows in the UK.

With the amount of spray - anyone else surprised it managed to get airborne?

Not sure if serious ? How is it going to get airborne without the spray ? For there to be no spray the propellers would have to be switched off .

I’m not sure what this was, (Hurricane?), but it sounded like a Merlin and is over south Sheffield at the moment.

Not showing on FlightRadar.

And a four engined prop bomber has just flown over as well.

Its PZ865, 'Last of the Many'....the very last Hurricane to be built.

There were a pair training very low over Windermere on Thursday. I couldn't have picked a better time for the ferry cruise!

Lawrence Stroll inbound to Silverstone. His helicopter did 14 flights yesterday so I guess it’s been used to ferry VIPs. Reg T7 LSS

Thank you.

Taken on my phone, peering through the gap in the trees. If I’d been 1/2 mile up the road, (out of the housing estate), I’d have had a lot better view, but unfortunately I was out on my round and as always, massively against the clock.

The Lancaster sounded good, but the Hurricane sounded even better cloud9

Embraer C-390 over Brazil. Never heard of these before, but it looks like they’ve sold some to European countries for delivery next year onwards, so might become a regular sight.

Two engines not a bit limiting? My (amateur) reasoning — Means if it loses an engine in the field it becomes pretty useless for MTOW, whereas a four engine plane can probably still take off quite heavy on three?

If an engine fails during the take off roll then having three out of four is better than one out of two. But other than that, no. Setting off with only three of four engines working even very lightly loaded would be an absolute last resort if feasible at all.

Thank you! So the reason the A400M (for example) is all about being able to lug more load than reliability?

I remember the B744 had a 3 engine ferry section in the manuals. But there are of restrictions and different performance considerations.
