I think the only one still performing in Italy is the one belonging to the Reparto Sperimentale Volo in Pratica di Mare (Rome).
I saw it last time at RIAT2014, last year I didn't go to any airshow. I truly hope it will keep flying.
Saying that, they had 3 tornados do 3 flypasts at RIAT 2015!I saw it last time at RIAT2014, last year I didn't go to any airshow. I truly hope it will keep flying.

But if I'm not mistaken they were 1 for each Country of the consortium. Or were all 3 from Italy?

I'm going.
Working airside again so, as for the last couple of years, I get an uninterrupted view of the runway.
So I get paid to watch the aircraft arrive on Thursday, display for the three days, leave on Monday & I get to go to the after-show 'hangar party!!!!'.
Can't wait.
You sir, are one lucky SoaB! Working airside again so, as for the last couple of years, I get an uninterrupted view of the runway.

I certainly am lucky.
Not exactly hard work & for someone who likes aircraft it is just about perfect.
Looked after the BBMF crews last year as well the flight crew from XH558 & many other pilots & big wigs from all around the world.
Heard some great stories, meet some decent flyers & came home with a load of memorabilia - posters, models, mugs, badges etc (or crap as SWMBO calls it).
All in all being paid to watch aircraft fly is a hardship!!!! Not.
And as for the hangar party........

I've always been disappointed by the hangar party, a partly cooked omelette and beer tokens that they would only let me use once and not all the spares from the aircrew of BBMF who had to fly home early followed by some st music. The only impressive thing is how they turn the hangar into an impressive venue space. Not exactly hard work & for someone who likes aircraft it is just about perfect.

The only thing I regret is a yank pilot wanted to swap his B2 leather flying jacket for my flying suit one year, I declined as I would have just been in my undercrackers and boots. After the event I then realised how much that jacket was worth!

We were the only ground crew there apart from the Reds ground crew and the Chinook ground crew (Chinook was ferrying the reds back and fore after their display over the party).
I was on Tornados at the time but am ex Hawks, the Chinook ground crew were ex Hawks, so it ended up being a Hawk liney reunion. Couple that with a free bar, the next morning led to the top of our aircraft being put to good use.

My only time working there was back in 1989, and we managed to blag tickets to the Red Arrows 25th birthday party being put on at a nearby barracks by Shell UK,with BA stewardesses hostessing the event!

I always enjoy the Dutch C130 party although the last time I was there it was the other end of the line it was boiling hot and I couldn't be bothered to walk there so binned it off

I remember when the Aussie's came over with the F-111's (may have been the when it moved to Boscombe that time?) and the support 707 they brought over seemed to be filled with umpteen pallets of 4X instead of anything they might need for the a/c
It was indeed Boscombe, have a photo of me as a 8 year old sat in the cockpit ukaskew said:
