2 more B52s just now heading East. One just a few seconds behind the other.
There's 4 (I think) based at Fairford for about 6 weeks.Going to be a busy 2018 there from what I understand.

Two singletons today also. Does anyone know where they go and what they do?
Usually towards the Baltics.A couple of twitter folk track them occasionally @RAF_Fairford, @Mark_swl, @CivMilAir, @MIL_Radar, @planesonthenet.
Can’t remember which one picked them up from their home base but they also tracked the ones that went off to Guam also.
There are numerous others too covering Europe - they tracked the Typhoons intercepting the Tu160’s the other day and the coverage of the med is good too especially the US Navy chasing Russian subs.
Two in close formation directly over our house this morning and a third a few minutes behind.
For anyone wanting to see them take-off at Fairford, it seems that between 10.00 and 10.30am is the sweet spot for activity, if you happen to be passing. I'm not sure if this repeats at the weekend though.

I am doubtful that there will be weekend movements at this point. For anyone wanting to see them take-off at Fairford, it seems that between 10.00 and 10.30am is the sweet spot for activity, if you happen to be passing. I'm not sure if this repeats at the weekend though.
There were a few departures at weekends last summer, but that was mainly for airshows.
I have been trying to find out all week if there are flights at the weekend as I am in Swindon on Sat eve / Sunday, but no NOTAMS thus far.
Just gone over again. Same route. He opens the taps a bit after he passes us and belches out 8 lines of dirty exhaust smoke.
How many are stationed at Fairford at the moment?
Edit: well there's at least two here, because another has just flown past. This one made a lovely turn as he went past and also belched out the smoke. I got my binoculars on this one so I need to correct my above statement: it actually makes 4 trails of smoke, since the engines are mounted in close pairs.

Does anyone know planned arrival time? Would like to go see them if schedule permits?
Taken off Fighter Control"RAF Fairford hosting B-52Hs
