How to fix the Southern Rail dispute?

What happens now? Everyone gets back round the table and negotiates a new deal that is pretty much the same but slightly different to the one they just rejected?
Package up much the same content but in a different order. I'm sure the 27% that didn't vote could now sway an acceptance.Robertj21a said:

Don't bet on it. The ASLEF refuses to acknowledge that we live in a day and age when you can even vote for the government of the country without ever leaving your own home. To vote in an ASLEF process you have to attend the branch in person and cast a physical vote. Straight away that precludes 33% of the electorate, who will be working on-shift at the time. Then take out all the others who've just finished a night turn that day, live miles away and don't really fancy travelling all the way back in to Brighton, etc etcNik da Greek said:

I imagine the 28.5% pay rise over 5 years helped allay their fears over 'safety'.
Indeed. That's what it always boils down to with the rail staff. Money. Fear not they will be on strike again soon and will have to be given an even bigger bribe to do their job that already pays them way more than its worth.RMT press release.

Second paragraph echoes what I've heard over the past few months.
Absolute shambles.

I expect you'll be applying for a job if you think you're up to it?legzr1 said:

Not sure why it's a shambles ?https://www.rmt.org.uk/news/rmt-responds-to-driver...

Having read that paragraph a couple of times it seems to all be legal - or is the RMT suggesting that the Courts are biased ?
