Faecal bacteria inside ice at Costa coffee
Discussion
People don't wash their hands enough these days. Having babies there will always be a risk so it's not surprising there's bacteria all over the tables. maybe they could introduce those hand wash systems you find at the Dr's? Also check the tables with a UV lamp, daily.
I'm glad I don't frequent coffee shops.

This is news?
It is well known that ice and the scooping of ice results in contamination and is a source of food poisoning all over the world, even many who do wash their hands don't do thoroughly.
I knew that when I had a slushy at Le Mans a few weeks ago. But it was hot and it seemed like a good idea. The amount of bum gravy I produced a few hours later was equally as hot.It is well known that ice and the scooping of ice results in contamination and is a source of food poisoning all over the world, even many who do wash their hands don't do thoroughly.
Not really rocket science, you do know how a certain percentage of our integrated community wipe their arses?
Cleaning your hands properly is something most people dont do, a quick splash under the tap, even with soap does not clean bacteria off your hands.
As for the toothbrush comment, I know that a toilet flushing sprays droplets, usually of whatever was in the toilet for a metre or so around the toilet. So your sink next to it, with toothbrushes in a cup, well..... Thats why I never leave the lid up on a toilet after use.
