Sounds likely... thought it looked too fat for a ferret!

..and it sure ain't a Pine Marten! (I think that's why they sent it to me to be fair)

Tasmanian Devil?

I'd guess it's escaped from somewhere rather than being wild, maybe a pet that somebody lost or couldn't cope with and released.

Quite agree.

Was lucky enough to watch one ?foraging/hunting along the bank of a stream for a good few minutes, about 20 years ago now... going off what it said at the bottom of that page, they're still pretty rare, may be that Avon Wildlife Trust would like to know where that one was.
