I'm not sure why the hidden parts of the Underground are still seen as something of a revelation. They've been done to death on Discovery, Channel 5 etc.
The bit in the article about Canary Wharf station having over 500 non-public "rooms" is a bit misleading anyway......in railway terms, even a little cupboard housing some mundane relays will be classed as a room.
