Yes, £2!As a plot twist, we went down the lift yesterday and with half an hour to kill till our slot, wandered around the visitors centre for a bit, and came across two gents with a print out of this very photo, trying to re-imagine this early layout of buildings etc.
At the time I have conflicting thoughts of 'thats earlier than most photos I have seen' and 'but also sort of looks familiar' and while I didn't make the connection in the moment, having just seen your reply over lunch, it has all clicked into place. Apparently the had 'just printed it out of the internet'. So there we are!

Looks good.
We are on drydock next week, four yearly hull survey and repainting.
Biggest drama being the pitch free Vinyl blacking product we have been used (Leigh's/SW M535) has been discontinued and so we need to use an alternative.
Either another brands single pack Vinyl blacking such as Intertuf 203, or a two pack epoxy product such as Jotumastic 87 or 90.

I thought that this photo might be of interest to the usual contributors to this thread as a snapshot of earlier times. Taken ,probably mid 1960's, on the Bridgewater Canal/

How's everybody coping ?! Currently in Leamington Spa/Warwick area, canals ok but Warwick flooded in various area on the river.
This chap sadly lost his boat on the River Soar - apparently might have been a botched rescue meaning the boat got tipped over .

Some nice photos of a flooded marina at https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=jones%20boat...Also towards the end of the video, St Ives lock has completely disappeared!
Mu boat's on a floating jetty so all OK. the only embuggerance being that when I fitted new nav lights last year I didn't seal the right bit so I now have water damaged wood inside
Oh dear - wonder if the rescue company are liable for this ?

I came back to my house as knew I’d be stranded if not and was concerned about work. As it is other half had to take a few days emergency leave and has been marooned on the boat. He’s using canoe to get out to the lane and then waders to get to the main road. It’s started to go down slowly today and our path in garden is now visible but he’s still have to canoe out to the lane. Not sure if he’ll make it back to work tomorrow. Thankfully all vans and cars were moved prior.
Little Paxton Lock was overflowing a few days ago and the footbridge over river wasn’t accessible. I’ve walked some of St Neots today and the riverside car park and Regatta Meadows still under water, Eaton Socon Lock and Eynesbury Manor Marina down but still flooded.

Its slightly surprising they ever thought that was going to work. Might be seen as being wise after the event but I would assume that the lower parts of a narrow boat are much heavier than the top parts, so tugging it from the top of the bow is asking for trouble.https://youtu.be/G-tGoRoOG-8?si=jX-8qi1hVQZeIVZP
Having said that the options were limited anyway because as the water level dropped it was going to struggle to stay on the buttress.
