Ye gods, that sounds utterly terrifying.....to die so fast you're not even aware of it :-(
Having watched my Mother slowly die from Cancer over many months I think it sounds utterly perfect. They did not drown or experience pain. Death was instantaneous"

I'm trying to connect the 'collapse frequency' of 4.4Hz, or about 1/5th second, with the hull destruction time of 1/25th second - ie 5x faster. Perhaps the collapse frequency is a function of hull size?
After the initial collapse the compressed air that was inside the sub kind of 'rebounds' before being compressed again - this cycle can last a lot longer than the initial implosion and in this case had a frequency of 4.4Hz.See this slomo vid as an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5gHFJyMQ6o&t=...
Simpo two: Genuine question. What would you do with such information?
How would you apply it to further understanding? Not being a tool here just interested to understand how this would be used to maybe help avoid future similar situations.
In my industry we would take any data and apply to so called risk reduction. Maybe you are in a similar place? Just interested in your perspective.
