They've only just finished hosing the mud from the passengers' and crew's undercarriages
That’s at least the fifth reference or innuendo on this thread to the idea of people soiling themselves in a frightening situation. Let’s move on shall we?

Speaking of moving, I’ll bet there was some ‘movement’ going on in the bowels of the passengers and crew, eh?! Know what I mean?! Eh?! winkwinkwink ha ha ha my sides etc.
Frig me, so you got a couple of LOLS for a very funny post so now you are the champ deciding what's appropriate for the thread?

The theory I think being that the plane had 1. reverser locked out of use.

Pilot manually retards thrust, and does not disengage autothrust
Pulling reverse up on engine 1, disengages auththrust on No 1.
No 2 still in autothrust and increases thrust levers to reach speed in MFD
Pilot does not spot what is happening quickly (bizarrely as they have moving levers, unlike Airbus)
crash.

I doubt you’d have much time to correct it if one engine was in reverse and the other spooled up at low speed.

Could be, although they would be operating outside of SoP and I suspect if that was in the UK the AIB would take a dim view of that.

The right gear is gone and some pretty serious damage to the right wing, looks like a write off to me tbh. I suspect the gear on the left and nose has done all kinds of bad things to its mounting points. Both engines toast. Not that I am an expert.

Well no one’s repeated what I said a further four times, so it can’t have been that funny.

Anyway, apologies for the thread drift.
