Sounds awful, I wonder what happened?

"Three people have died after being hit by a train at a station in south London, British Transport Police have confirmed."

1. The train was in the wrong place, doing things it shouldn't have been doing.
2. The people were in the wrong place, doing things they shouldn't have been doing.

I know which of those two I think more likely, but I'm open to other suggestions.

A tad flippant considering 3 people have just been killed IMO.

Perhaps, but if you play silly games, you win silly prizes.

Maybe so, assuming they weren't there for a legitimate reason (workers), but IMO nobody deserves to be killed as a "silly prize" for being stupid.....Graffiti or similar perhaps?

I used to get the train from Loughborough Junction junction in my old job, the place was lawless (work used to escort females to the station after dark) with graffiti on every available surface even ones where it didn't look possible to reach so it was probably people trespassing imo.

I'm hearing through the railway grapevine that the driver came across bags of body parts and it's now a crime scene.

Murder suicide? Family based?

Although as above if they’re in bits in bags that possibly rules it out.

OK, that's option 3.

Seems odd. I just hope it wasn't good Samaritans trying to get someone intent on killing themselves off the line.

I think I've just seen footage on Sky of people in what looks like PRPS (big yellow/green suits) which is a bit odd for a simple body recovery.

I doubt it's "simple" to recover a body after it's been hit by a train. Especially where you're not sure which bits are who.

It's a fairly simple process, I've sadly lost count of the amount I've done.

Multiples are relatively simple too, but let's not get down to the gruesome details.

You do realise you're on the internet, in a web forum, in the chatting section of that web forum?

Cans of spray paint found?

Doesn't take much more to assume trespassing with an intention of vandalism. My sympathise will be reserved until more details are released...

Probably some deranged Labour Live attendees trying to spray revolutionary graffiti on the side of a passing express train.....

There has been a notable increase in graffiti on the sides of Southeastern trains recently.

Perhaps that will now decrease?
