any out of the box solutions that use a 2 point beam that chirp a siren in the house.
I know texecom do one but it seems too complicated to set up.

I've got one of these, cheap as chips and it works. Have tried it at a range of 100 metres, still works

I made one with a WiFi arduino chip and a PIR sensor. It sends me emails and a timestamp I use to cross ref to my cheapo CCTV, which I've got emailing me with motion alarms. I then use a script running on Drive every 5 minutes to pull the attachment images into a folder so I can peruse them easily using the cross ref triggered by the PIR.

Not cheap - but I have used these people to source this sort of kit. https://www.ultrasecuredirect.com/wireless-outdoor...

I used the (now discontinued) Dakota 3000E 900m range kit with a PIR sensor and a vehicle detector. The latter works very well, but the former gets a few false alarms from deer, foxes, badgers etc. I don't think Dakota do a beam and sensor solution but some of the others on the page linked above appear to meet your requirements.

Yup, got one of these as well - works ok, but not always brilliant - I'd say 80-90% effective. Mines at about 50-60m range.

How about some CCTV cameras? Two birds with one stone and all that?

I have a Hikvision setup which has line crossing detection. Using the recording software set up a few lines at various points on your drive that are within the view of the camera and receive notifications on your smart phone when the lines are crossed. Has the added bonus of recording the images of those lines being crossed as well remote access etc..

I had a similar cheap PIR unit and I found too many false alarms.

I have seen a couple of twin beam set ups on Ebay using an alarm system (which seems OTT) for IIRC £120

Sister had one of those cheap ebay units and it was a bit crap. Id rather pay couple hundred pounds. After speaking to a local electrical shop they advised to buy a cheap control panel and wire in the 12v power from beams. Didnt seem that complicated. Il stick with the most basic control panel i can find.
